The Center

Legal Center for Corporate, International Trade and Investment (LCITI) was initially established in 2014 as a research working group within the Faculty of Law Universitas Indonesia, focusing primarily on international investment law. Over the following years, LCITI expanded its work to include international trade. In 2020, LCITI was formally organised as a special unit under the Djokosoetono Research Center. By 2025, LCITI further broadened its research agenda to encompass corporate law and governance, and today it serves as one of the faculty’s research clusters dedicated to producing rigorous and relevant research in investment, trade, and corporate law.

LCITI works with a diverse range of institutions, contributing legal research and analysis across key areas of investment, trade, and corporate governance. Our collaborations span government bodies, international agencies, and private sector partners. Our work includes research on national and international investment policies, analysis of international trade issues, policies and cases, as well as good corporate governance evaluation for SOEs. Going forward, LCITI will continue working with governmental and non-governmental stakeholders to map key issues and develop a comprehensive overview of green industrial policy. The outcomes of this project are expected to be published as a policy paper and as part of an international publication.
