Biography

Arie Afriansyah has been a teaching staff in the International Law Study Division, Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia since 2008, in the Public International Law section. Arie holds a Bachelor of Laws from the Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia, a Master of International Law from the Law School, University of Sydney, Australia, and a Doctor of Philosophy from the Faculty of Law, University of Otago, New Zealand.

Currently, Dr. Arie is Chair of the Center for Sustainable Ocean Policy, Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia ( https://csop.ui.ac.id ), General Chair of the Association of International Law Lecturers in Indonesia (Indonesian Society of International Law Lecturers/ISIL) 2020-2025 ( https://isill.org ), Chief Editor of the Indonesian Journal of International Law ( http://ijil.ui.ac.id/index.php/home ), Chief Editor of the Indonesian Yearbook of International Law ( https:/ /isill.org/Year-Book-of-International-Law/ ), Member of the Executive Board of the Asian Society of International Law ( https://www.asiansil.org/about-us/governing-bodies/ ). Previously, he served as Chair of the Indonesian Law Journal Management Association (APJHI) 2016-2020.
