Prof. Yetty Serves as Resource Person in DPR RI Public Consultation on the Trade Law

Prof. Yetty Komalasari Dewi served as a resource person in a public discussion and consultation on the implementation of Law No. 7 of 2014 on Trade, organised by the Badan Keahlian DPR RI through its Center for Monitoring the Implementation of Laws. The consultation was held on 22 January 2026.

The forum formed part of the DPR RI’s mandate to monitor the implementation of the Trade Law and assess its effectiveness in responding to current trade governance challenges. In her presentation, Prof. Yetty addressed key issues, including the alignment of implementation with the objectives of the Trade Law, trade regulation following the Job Creation Law, foreign trade control, import governance and domestic competitiveness, electronic commerce regulation, mandatory national standards, consumer protection, and trade remedies. The discussion also touched on regulatory models for import policy, as well as broader issues such as free trade agreement reviews and legal assistance on market access.
